"Punkin"

Elle is a very bright little girl and she is growing up so fast. Everyday there is something new that she picks up and something new that interests her. Recently, her newest thing has been pumpkins! She is fascinated with Halloween pumpkins. She calls them "punkin". It's really cute. She's never cared too much for them when she turned "2" last year and often times she was afraid. This year she is TOTALLY opposite! She loves them all!

My mom loves Halloween and she collects a lot of figurines and decorates her home with it when it's close to the holidays. Halloween and Christmas are the 2 holidays she highlights and Elle has a blast when she visits. It really makes my mom happy because she's found someone who appreciates it as much as her. : )

Elle has a little Halloween book that she enjoys reading. I've read it to her numerous times to the point where she's memorized what I'm reading. Often time you'll find her flipping through her book in the living room and you can hear her read the first 2 sentences out loud. It is the most adorable thing ever! (Kids really do listen and mimic everything you do and say.) Every time I read to her I use a lot of expression to make it interesting, so it's funny to hear her read it back to me the same way! It's great! The title of this book is called, "A Ghost Named Guy". I'm unsure where we got this book, but my daughter loves it! It's a really cute book which basically teaches you not to judge people by the way that they look and it also rhymes which makes it so much more fun to read.

Here's a glimpse of what Elle is reading: http://www.archive.org/details/AGhostNamedGuy

Translation:
Willa Witch and Biff the Bat came to visit Scaredy Cat. "Come in" he said, "It's Halloween, and look my house is really clean!"

You can hear her say "punkin" and point out Biff the Bat too!
