Copy Cat

Elle is growing up so fast. She is now at that age where she mimics EVERYTHING you say! It's hilarious! Even when you think she is doing her own thing on one side of the room, she'll mimic and say whatever she hears. Huy makes goofy comments to me ALL the time because he LOVES to make me laugh! It's been like that ever since we met. Well last night Elle was reading her book and heard Huy make a goofy remark to me and soon after he said something you hear my little "copy cat" say the same thing! It's like a little echo. Now instead of one goofy remark, I get TWO! I have a little mini-Huy in my home! Elle is too much like her dad, both clowns!

We've also been noticing that Elle not only mimics what you say, she actually does her best to mimic what you do. Last night Huy was studying for his ACLS exam for work where he will be tested on cardiac resuscitation procedures on victims (or something like CPR) and Elle was standing in front of him while he was sitting in his chair watching the video on the computer to study. In one section of the video the woman was demonstrating how to count and do proper chest compressions on a victim. Soon after she finished, my little Elle turns to Huy and starts pushing his stomach with her two hands and began counting just like the lady in the video. She was doing chest compressions on her daddy! So funny!! Huy and I couldn't stop laughing, because she was doing just like the video was showing and was doing such a good job!! We were so proud!
